The Lessius College was an Antwerp Catholic institution of higher learning . Lessius name referring to Leonardus Lessius , one of the most influential and original Jesuits at the turn of the 17th century . Lessius Hogeschool Antwerpen emerged in 2000 from a merger of the Catholic Flemish College and the Antwerp Commercial College . In 2008-2009 the ditch De Nayer Institute in Sint-Katelijne-Waver joined the Lessius Hogeschool Antwerpen , who called in 2010 Lessius Antwerp accepted. From the academic year 2010-2011 also closed the Katholieke Hogeschool Mechelen joined the association under the name Lessius Lessius Mechelen . On July 11 2012 merged Lessius Antwerp and Lessius Mechelen with the Katholieke Hogeschool Kempen to new colleges Thomas More Mechelen-Antwerp and Thomas More Kempen . The academic programs on campuses De Nayer , Carolus and St. Andrew from 2013 were arranged by the KU Leuven .
